Abby Stitches is the main character from the hospital segment of Richard Scarry's What Do People Do All Day.
When she is not hospitalized, she wears a yellow shirt and green sweater ("pinafore" in Britain).
Her story is about her getting her tonsils out.
After being told this by Dr. Lion, Abby Stitches falls asleep during the operation, and her throat gets sore; however, she gets it soothed by eating a bowl of ice cream.
After she recovers, she gets a present from her mother: a new baby brother.
