Bob (referred to in Richard Scarry's Best First Book Ever as Bop) and Bonk are the two boys of Mrs. Pig. In their debut, specifically, "Good and Bad Manners," while both their family and the Cat Family (including Lowly) are meeting at the same ice cream parlor, Bop and Bonk are the ones displaying bad manners.
- They are fighting, which their mother wishes would stop and that they would mind their manners.
- Bop gobbles his (apparently chocolate, as it is brown) ice cream and makes a lot of noise.
- Bonk reaches for cookies, resulting in knocking his (apparently grape, as it is purple) juice over.
- Bop interrupts his mother while she is talking to Mother Cat.
- Bonk guzzles his juice and spills it all over his shirt. The narrator tells him to take smaller sips.
- Bonk steals Bop's cherries from the latter's ice cream.
- Bonk rocks back and forth in his chair. The narrator tells him not to.
- Bonk, in fact, has rocked so far that he is about to fall, so he grabs the cloth, clearing the table with awful manners, for its contents are spilled (and, in the case of fragile items like plates, broken) on the floor.
Note[]
In the UK version, "Bonk" is renamed "Biff."
