Little Fixit is the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Fixit and the baby stepbrother of Freddie Fox. First, he originated in the "Mr. Fixit" story of Richard Scarry's Funniest Storybook Ever. In this story, while in his cradle, when his father can't put the baby bottle cap onto its body (the bottle itself), he tells him to let him try. When he does try, it works.
Then he is the titular episode of The Busy World of Richard Scarry episode of the same name. He spends most of the episode unseen, as most of that part, he is a fetus, meaning he is an unborn baby, in Mrs. Fixit's tummy. Much later, he is born in the hospital, and just afterward, his father tries to teach him the word "hammer" (and uses the tool that it names to show to him), but the raccoon doctor tells him that maybe it is too soon. He is then brought home, and Huckle, Sally, and Lowly, visit, and Sally says he is so beautiful. Huckle and Lowly plan on teaching him things like riding bikes. Because of a chance that they might have triplets, they have a total of three cribs (and Little Fixit, with a pacifier in his mouth, is asleep in the one on the right), connected in one machine operation, and so Mrs. Fixit plans to have two more. In the episode "The Best Christmas Present Ever," Little Fixit appears in some photos as a 2-&-1/2-month-old baby.
