Professor Dog is a dog character. She appears in The Busy World of Richard Scarry. Her son is Billy Dog. For unknown reasons, however, she does not appear to be married. Her husband Billy's Dad is never mentioned in the series. He likely either died leaving her widowed or she is divorced from him and he either has nothing to do with Billy or has visitation rights where Billy has gone and visited him not shown in the series.
It is mentioned in "The Big Move" that she is an astronomer. Professor Dog wears a cream-colored hat with a blue ring meeting the brim, and a "closed window" in the front, golden-framed glasses (without any earpieces), an orange shirt, a white jacket, a black belt with a golden buckle, and a denim skirt.
Like Billy, she is a Bulldog/Boxer mix. She is voiced by Susan Roman.
