"Sergeant Murphy's Day Off" is the first segment of the twelfth episode of The Busy World of Richard Scarry. It is the thirty-fourth overall episode.
Synopsis[]
Sergeant Murphy gets his first day off, and a picnic is planned for him and his family. Nevertheless, emergencies disrupt the day off in front of Bridget.

- The motorcycle and side bathtub car is a reference to the motorcycle and original side car from the Wallace and Gromit short "A Close Shave".
